A Valentine for My Son

A Valentine for My Son

This Valentine's Day, I'll be revealing my exciting gift choices for our three-year-old son. I know some people may think it's excessive, but I always tend to go overboard with presents regardless of what I tell myself. So without further ado, let me show you what we got! If you're looking for a theme idea for kids, consider Toy Story 4. It's a great option as it is age-appropriate and follows the same story.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, my son will be receiving a special countdown calendar. The countdown starts on February 1st and he will have an exciting surprise waiting for him when he reaches February 14th. After his daughter goes to bed, he will take out the items which come with the product. These may not be suitable for one year olds as they are tiny and compact toys. He plans on finishing his task after his sister has gone to bed. He usually hits the hay later than her, so it works out well for him.

We'll take a look next at the actual bag itself, so you can get an idea of every item he will be receiving. I had ordered a reusable bag from Amazon, but the one that arrived was of poor quality and could not hold all my items. Therefore, I decided to send it back as I felt it was excessively priced. The kid got a heart-shaped balloon and a matching bag which I had bought from a dollar store.

He received a Crayola giant coloring page set from Target that contained 18 different coloring pages. This is a great way to keep him busy while also encouraging his creativity! We got our little one an art kit from Dollar Tree. It contains paint and a paintbrush, amongst other things like two sticker pages. This shows that we don't just have to shop for children's toys at toy stores; instead, we can often find the same items at discount and dollar stores too!

We got him a Crazy Art Softie Dough set from Dollar Tree. It comes with two packs of the dough and a wooden mold for shaping it. It's similar to Play-Doh but of better quality. The Dollar Tree also had a set of washable markers that were great to use with the giant coloring sheets. They made it much more fun for him to color and experiment with different art techniques!

In recent times, comic books have become available at a number of stores, most notably Dollar Tree and Target. These provide you with fun reading material as well as something to collect. I will read this out loud for both him and his sister. I got my son a book from Dollar Tree to show how much I value him. He has been such a great help to me, and this book will be beneficial as he is able to read it with ease; he knows most of the words, and also can sound out any unfamiliar ones.

I recently bought an activity set for my kid that was based on the characters from Little Bo Peep. It had pompoms and a similar Diamond Painting activity to complete the project. Since this was the only version available, I opted for this one. Recently, I came across an interesting product at Dollar Tree called Magic Towels. It is a small towel that expands when immersed in water, making it a great resource for little Bo Peep and anyone else who needs a quick and reliable drying solution.

I managed to find all the Toy Story figurines that were available at Dollar Tree, and bought them for him. He has a great affinity for the little figurines and has accumulated a considerable number of them in a bucket. He enjoys playing with the toys I got for him, which include Forky, Rex, Bo Peep, Woody and Buzz. My son's recent toy story t-shirt came from Ross and cost only 3.99 USD. The design features all the beloved characters from this classic movie series! I recently got a "Zak" Reusable Cup as a gift for him from Target. It has unique characters and is leak-proof, insulated, and comes with a straw. I think he'll really like it!

I got my son a 48-piece jigsaw puzzle from Dollar Tree. The pieces are slightly larger than usual, so he should be able to figure it out without much assistance; but if he needs help I'm sure he will be able to complete the puzzle with a bit of help. He can easily complete the ten novice puzzles that came from Target, as each comprises only two pieces. He should be able to do it on his own. Spending time on puzzles with his daughter will be a breeze for him. He might get bored of it soon, but he got just what he wanted - something that matches his sister's possessions. My son recently received a two-pack of stuff animals from Dollar Tree. One of them had the word 'Best' written on it while the other said 'Friends'. I decided to put these in his basket as well as his sister's as gifts.

Dollar Tree has recently released a cotton candy flavor called Cherry Blast which is sure to be a hit with the kids. I intend to give both my children an equal opportunity to enjoy the snack I am placing in my son's bag. My thought is that my son might receive more of it than my daughter, hence why I have made this choice. I bought him some chocolate hearts from Target - they were only a dollar, but I'm going to put them in a Toy Story bag for added effect. I recently bought a pack of Ziploc bags from Dollar Tree to use as a container for my candy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any Toy Story themed candy so I will be using the bags instead. He was nearly out of his multivitamins, so I got him a large-sized pack from Amazon. The price was quite reasonable, which made the purchase even better. Each of the kids were given one of the four Fruit by the Foot minis packs and two will be kept for another occasion.

Additionally, I bought him a PJ Masks umbrella. That was not the last present he got, though. He also received one more big toy. Searching for a reasonably priced toy store umbrella from a reliable source proved to be quite challenging. However, I eventually found them from third-party sellers & major retailers like Walmart. I had been considering a few options, but ultimately decided on buying this particular product from Amazon due to its reputation for customer satisfaction. Taking walks has become a regular part of our routine this year. We missed out on only two days, even when it's been raining. He had been using a basic umbrella from Dollar Tree till now, however he will greatly appreciate the upgraded quality of this one. Lastly, the big toy was a carnival set. By pressing down here, it could be activated and the bag that was blocking it so I moved it out of the way. Then, one or two toys would be able to enjoy the ride. The carnival set includes a game called 'shooting the bottle' with two figurines. It's a fun activity that your kid can enjoy and it can even help with their hand-eye coordination. For the 14th of February this year, these are the Valentine's Day presents I intend to gift to my wonderful son; and I hope this has inspired my readers to plan presents just as joyous for their sons as well.
